The journey to Ardray began over a century ago when Shinjiro Torii set out to create a complex whisky that was subtle enough for the Japanese palate. Inspired by the excellence of Scotch, but craving a Japanese approach, he planted his roots in Yamazaki and created the birthplace of Suntory whisky. Today, the path he started has come full circle. We continue our quest to reimagine the excellence of Scotch whisky with dedication, passion, and a fresh perspective. Ardray is the latest expression of the ongoing bond between the Suntory whisky makers and their counterparts in Scotland. With all the craft and character of the finest Scotch whisky blended with the refinement and meticulous approach of our blending team, we reinterpreted traditional blended Scotch whisky into something new for today's whisky drinker.
