Ca Rome is a true family winery, nestled in the heart of Barbaresco. It was founded by Romano Marengo in 1980 after a 30-year career in the wine industry, during which he dreamed of making his own terroir-driver wines. Today it is run by Romano's children, Winemaker Giuseppe Marengo and Director of Operations, Paola Marengo. The Ca Rome philosophy is reflected in the name: Ca is short for casa, which means "home" and refers to Romano's home and a winery that is run by a family, not a corporation.

Tasting Notes
Intense garnet red with dark ruby reflections. Complex nose with aromas of licorice and forest berries, cinnamon, cloves and violet. Full, enveloping tannins with a long finish, recalling ripe fruit.
