Chimney Rock is a 100% estate-grown, family-owned winery rooted in Napa Valley's iconic Stags Leap District. Originally planted in 1980, the estate was founded to create exceptional wines that capture the distinctive character of this celebrated region. Its Cape Dutch-style winery reflects the South African heritage of its founders, while the Terlato family, partners since 2000 and sole owners since 2004, continues to guide the estate today. With complete control from vineyard to bottle, Chimney Rock produces limited, small-lot wines that showcase the purity and individuality of its estate vineyards. Cabernet Sauvignon is at the heart of the portfolio, expressing the signature Stags Leap District balance of power, ripeness, savory character, and elegance. For more than 20 years, Winemaker Elizabeth Vianna has led the winemaking team with a highly artisanal, non-interventionist approach. Hand-harvested fruit is fermented block by block to preserve the unique character of each site. The result is wines defined by purity, balance, elegant silky tannins, and refined texture. Chimney Rock is also committed to sustainable farming and winemaking, with both its vineyards and winery Napa Green and Certified California Sustainable Winegrowing certified. Each wine reflects a deep respect for place, people, and the natural environment.
