Clos Pegase Cabernet Sauvignon Hommage Tenma Vineyard Calistoga 2019

Clos Pegase is renowned for its handcrafted collection of award-winning wines, sourced exclusively from their 410 acres of estate vineyards. The Clos Pegase Hommage is dark and brooding in the glass that bursts with aromas of ripe plums, black cherries and notes of cassis. On the palate the black fruits linger and mix with a hint of crushed cassia bark and toasted oak and are surrounded by strong, balanced tannins and notes of espresso and dark chocolate. This wine is bold and sensuous with a silky texture and lengthy finish. Tenma vineyard, on an alluvial fan in Jericho Canyon in northeastern Calistoga, produces Cabernet Sauvignon wines of deep color and intensity. While the Petit Verdot grown on Tenma vineyard provides inky color and mid-palate drive to this elegant estate blend.
