Domaines Schlumberger Riesling Saering Alsace Grand Cru 2021

The robe is lemon yellow with light green reflections of medium intensity. The disk is bright, limpid, and transparent, showing youth. The nose is marked and pleasant, dominated by citrus fruits (mandarin zest, lemon, crystallised orange), white flowers, and a light ferruginous touch. Airing reveals flinty, smoky notes and ginger spice. The nose is open, already showing a mineral character and ripe grapes that express a great terroir. The onset is fleshy with full-bodied alcohol. The wine evolves on a precise, saline, and sparkling structure. Aromas are more austere on the palate, led by mineral notes (flint, naphta), yuzu zest, lime, white flowers, and ginger. A noble mineral bitterness defines the long finish. Despite sun exposure, the Riesling brilliantly reflects its soil and is built for decades.
