Founded in 1972, Firestone was the first major estate winery to sink roots in Santa Barbara County. The winery's proximity to the Pacific Ocean, ensures a relatively mild and arid climate throughout the year. The moderate weather and complex, rocky soils make this a perfect setting for our 340 acres of Bordeaux, Rh ne and Burgundian varieties.
Tasting Notes
Our Napa Valley Cabernet is a wonderful expression of the classic Bordeaux varietal as well as the terroir of the Napa Valley. The nose exhibits complex fruit aromas of plum, blackberry and a hint of strawberry, combined with brown sugar and forest floor. The aromas carry through to the palate of blackberry, dark chocolate and cocoa powder. Medium rich tannins are present with a long velvety finish.
