A clear indication of this Rye's 4000-day old ageing is apparent in the rich amber coloring. The bold spicy characteristics of Rye grain have mellowed and integrated beautifully with the extended barrel maturation of this offering. Prominent notes of baking spices such as cinnamon and clove along with leather elements are underlined by dried stonefruit nuances, honey, baker's chocolate and citrus zest on the palate. Hints of cherries and fine tannins from the barrel aging lift and extend an immaculate finish.
