Tasting Notes

Apostoles is a medium Sherry aged for 30 years. It is classified as a VORS Sherry which is the highest age category from Jerez. It is a blend of 87% Palomino (Palo Cortado) and 13% PX. The wines are aged separately in American oak Sherry casks for 15 years, and then a further 15 years as a blend. This wine is dark amber in color. It is an interesting wine with an elegant and delicate nose similar to an Amontillado with notes of concentrated fruits. On the palate complex and intense with notes of caramel and mature oak. Ideal with foie gras, mature cheese and red meats. Serve slightly chilled.
