La Ferme du Mont in the Southern Rhone, owned and vinified by Stephane Vedeau, boasts a mosaic of biodynamic vineyards. A former soccer player, Stephane transitioned to winemaking in 1989, spending 15 years in the Languedoc before moving to the Rhone Valley in 2000. His wines, praised by critics like Robert Parker, are known for their freshness and soul, utilizing native yeasts and biodynamic methods. Stephane began producing La Ferme du Mont's wines with Coralie Gourmarre of Domaine Galevan in 2005-2006 and has since continued independently. The property expanded with Clos Bellane in 2010, Val des Rois in 2020, and new vineyards in Rasteau in 2022. La Ferme du Mont specializes in Grenache-dominant wines from Cotes du Rhone, Cotes du Rhone Villages, Gigondas, Vacqueyras, and Chateauneuf-du-Pape AOCs. The vineyards, certified Agriculture Biologique since 2014, have been farmed biodynamically since 2011, previously using sustainable practices without pesticides or chemicals. Varieties cultivated include Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre, Roussanne, Marsanne, Viognier, Clairette, and Bourboulenc. From La Ferme du Mont's very first vintages, Robert Parker noted, "Stephane Vedeau one of the young, energetic Turks of Chateauneuf-du-Pape , has emerged from the woodwork to produce stunning wines...This is a seriously talented winemaker who is quickly emerging as a star of the southern Rhone."

Tasting Notes
Jade color, melted in a golden blonde, the nose offers us a floral and mineral bouquet. The width and opulence of its scent prepares us for a complex mouth. The palate is surprised by the amplitude of the sensa-tions between smoothness and elegant nervousness. The floors are multi-ple, quince paste, yellow-fleshed fruit, spices, acacia honey, limestone minerality. The general impression in its power and its balance is positioned equidistant between the great white wines of the Rhone and those of the south of Burgundy..
