Tasting Notes
The 2020 Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir is a beautifully dynamic balancing act between bright red fruit flavors and scintillating spice. On the nose, notes of strawberry-rhubarb compote and dried rose petals are followed by attention-grabbing notes of allspice, a signature mark of the Santa Maria vineyards in the blend known for their "Santa Maria spice." Silky tannins glide across the palate with a sip and prime it for layered notes of black cherry, dried cranberry, and a whole host of lingering red fruit flavors. The experience is topped off with a hint of graham cracker crumble on the finish.
